Volunteer Opportunities

Areas of Need Include
- Mentoring – One on one 6-month commitment to walk alongside a woman during her stay at the Oak Cottage.
- Transportation – Drive the women to miscellaneous appointments, including medical, job interviews, parole, DMV, church. Contact Jennifer Jones for more details (615-828-0403)
- Education – Teaching classes at the house such as: Budgeting, Etiquette, Bible Study, Parenting
- Also some fun classes we have on Friday’s are painting, cooking, etc.
- Community Dinners on Monday nights (learn more here)
- Helping with our clothes and household goods closet
We Are Always in Need of the Following Items
- Franklin Transit Trolley tickets
- Toiletries: New Only- shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, toothpaste, roll-on deodorant, etc.
- Cleaning and laundry supplies – paper towels, all purpose cleaner, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing soap, etc.
- Clothing: New and gently used clothing all sizes, especially L, XL, 1X, 2X, 3X
- Household – New Only – queen size sheet sets, queen size mattress pads, bed pillows, shower curtains, shower curtain liners, kitchen towels, knife sets, dinnerware sets, silverware sets, glassware sets, coffee makers, crockpots, frying pan, bakeware sets.
